Cup for Interclub Table Tennis Play
Mr J. Keen, of Queenstown, has donated a silver cup to the local table tennis club to be for intertown competition with Queenstown, Arrowtown and Alexandra. It is felt that this cup will provide the impetus necessary to foster interclub play and thus develop the standard of players generally. The cup is to be known as the Keen Challenge Cup. A club tournament was held in the Garrison Hall recently, results being: Men’s Doubles, Messrs G. Nelson and H. Hensman 1; L. Inder and T. Donaldson 2; women’s doubles, A. Curtis and T. Biggar 1; D. Newman and C. Robertson 2. Arrangements arc being made for an interclub match to be played this month.
