COUNCILLOR SPEAKS OUT
At the monthly meeting of the Queenstown Borough Council, Cr bandsaw drew attention, in no uncertain terms, to the state of available blocks at the cemcterv.
Cr Lindsay: “I refuse to have anything to do with the cemetery unless immediate action is taken by the Works Committee to have the ground levellel
out for new blocks in the Presbyter an and Anglican grounds.”
Cr Thompson: “ You were authorised to peg out these blocks months ago.” Cr Lindsay: “Before any pegging out can be done it is necessary to obtain the services of a hull-dozer. Are you aware that only one seet : on remains in the Presbyterian ground? ” It was that the Town C erk obtain the services of a gra'cr end that the work be commenced as soon as possible.
