KAUKAPAKAPA METHODIST CHURCH.

The quarterly meeting of the newly formed district of the Methodist Church was held at Kaukapakapa on Friday. The Rev. T. V. Brooke, General Secretary of Home Missions, was expected to preside, but owing to the railway strike was unable to make the journey. A fair attendance was presided over by the resident minister, Rev F C. Pace.

It was reported that the work was in a satisfactory state, all the services holding their own, while the number of attendants at some had greatly increased. The membership roll showed a total of 47, while six new names were added. The balance sheet revealed a credit of £8. In accordance with a remit from Conference it was decided to raise the minister's stipend by £20 per annum.

Sunday school work in the district, although hindered by illness, still goes on well, the numbers beins well up to the average.
