Sabbath Reform.
TO THE EDITOK.
Sir, —Mr Kirgan having made a complete failure to prove from the Bible that the first day of the week is the Sabbath of the Lord, now seems to be trying to cover up his mistake from your readers, by quibbling over non-essentials. By carefully comparing Mr Kirgan's letter with mine, it will be seen that although the wording in my letter is a little different, the meaning remains unchanged. At this point in the discussion, /itrrfust be remembered that we v^ar© trying to prove which day of . the week is the Sabbath. Mr Kirgan claims that the first day of the week is the Sabbath, but he has not been able to produce scriptural proof, whereas there is an abundance of Bible proof that " the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God " Ex. 20.10. I now (for the second time) ask Mr Kirgan if he has any more to say by way of proving that the first day of the week is the Sabbath, and will he kindly remember that only Bible proof will be of any value,
Knowing for a certainty that every such attempt will end in failure, I pray that he may (by , the grace of God) be led to acknowledge that he has been mistaken in thinking that the Bible teaches that the first day of the week is the; Sabbath. I am, etc, GEO. JOHNSON.
