ST. ANDREW’S v. OTO. PRES.
The St. Andrew’s Tennis Club, playing at Te Kuiti in the T.O.H. competitions last Saturday, defeated the Otorohanga Presbyterian team by 15 sets to 9, their ladies proving a source of strength. The sets resulted as follows, St. Andrew’s names being mentioned first:— Men’s Singles.—K. McLeod lost to Rutland I—6; K. O’Connell beat Wyllie 6—5; G. Walker lost to Ingham 5—6; B. Hickey beat Hughes 6—l; R. Allingham lost to Greenlees 2 —6; G. Andrewes beat Howard 6—2.
Ladies’ Singles.—Miss J. Pederson beat Mrs. Richmond 6 —3; Miss N. Douglas beat Miss E. Holmes 6—4; Mrs. R. Seccombe beat Mrs. Cooper 6—4; Miss P. Saville beat Miss M. Saunders 6—3; Miss P. Ferris beat Miss A. Rhodes 6—l; Miss B. Barton lost to Miss J. Cameron 4—6. Men’s Doubles.
