'COMMON SENSE' AND 'HONESTY'

(To the Editor). Sir, —The writer of the above correspondence who quoted Mr. Langstone as saying the Labour Party would guarantee Otorohanga and other factories Is 3d, is incorrect. What Mr. Langstone did say was, allowing for the price to be paid, say, Is 3d, so as to give his audience some idea how it worked. There was no mention of Otorohanga at the meeting. Evidently the writer has received such a shock by the news that his party has shed another skin, that he is in a state of tangle and befogged, and that it would not be in his interest to answer his other question.—l am, etc., F. JOHANSSON, Secretary, Te Kuiti Branch, Labour Party.
