TE KUITI BOWLING CLUB
COMING EVENTS. The next fixture on the Club's programme is the Progressive Pairs tourney to be held this week-end. On Saturday, the 13th inst., the Club will have the pleasure of a return visit from Otorohanga, ' when members will have an opportunity of returning Otorohanga's hosp.taluy. The Midland and King Country Cups will be competed for on this occasion. Teams representing Te Kuiti will be selected later. The following Te Kuiti players will play in the Pairs: —Senior: Holah (s), Frerichs (lead). Junior: Douglas (s), Weston (lead). A very enjoyable trip has been arranged to Glen Massey on the 14th. A' very cordial welcome has been extended to local players. The Annual Returned Soldiers' Bowling Tournament will be played at Hamilton East on Wednesday, February 24th. There will be keen competition for the honour of representing Te Kuiti at this function. The Te Kuiti Club has received permission from the Centre to hold the annual One-day Tournament on Saturday, March 6th. Complete arrangements are being made, and on this occasion it is expected that teams from as far afield as Auckland will be competing. The Hamilton East Club are holding their One-day Tourney on Wednesday next. It is understood Te Kuiti will be represented. Any member interested should communicate with the President, Mr. Baddeley. Next Saturday the usual draw will be suspended where necessary to permit further games being played in the Senior and Junior Championship rounds and in the Handicap Singles. During the illness of Mr. W. Home, Mr. Tapp is acting as selector.
