ADDITIONAL INSPECTOR. APPEAL MADE FOR FUNDS. An appeal for funds to enable the society to employ an additional inspector during the bobby calf season, in an endeavour to see that the new regulations are enforced, is being made by the Waikato Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Anticipating that the public will give practical support, the committee of the society has appointed Mr. P. H. Baker, of Te Aroha, to supervise the Morrinsville, Matamata, Paeroa and Te Aroha districts.
