MILITARY AGREEMENT

There is an increasing suspicion that the Austro-German agreement is the fruit of an Italo-German military understanding. A number of German army officers arrived at Rome during the week-end. Official circles insist that the visit is merely a courtesy one, but it is expected to be a prelude to the Italo-German proposals to revive the idea of a consultative Four Power Pact, excluding Russia.
