WEDDING

WALLIS—WALKER. The marriage was solemnised at the Presbyterian Church, Otorohanga, on the afternoon of July 2, between Florence May, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walker, of Hauturu, and Cecil Frederick, third son of Mrs. E. Wallis and the late Mr. J. C. Wallis, of Kaipaki. The Rev. T. H. Burton performed the ceremony and Mrs. W. Stewart presided at the organ. The church had been beautifully arranged in shades of pink and white. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Cliff Simmons, wore a nigger brown costume with hat, furs, and accessories to tone. She carried a bouquet of pink lupins and roses. Miss Joyce Walker (sister of the bride) was the bridesmaid and wore a royal blue frock with hat to tone and carried a bouquet of pink roses. Mr. James Wallis (brother of the bridegroom) was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Regent Tearooms, which was most attractively arranged in shades of pink and white, and afterwards guests were entertained at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Simmons in Te Kuiti Road.

The bridegroom's mother was wearing a black frock with pink facings and black coat and carried a posy of violets. Later Mr. and Mrs. C .F. Wallis left for a motor tour of the North. They will make their home at Whatawhata.
