SEVEN-A-SIDE TOURNEYS

THE FOOTBALL FOR SATURDAY. Seven-a-side tournaments are to be played next Saturday in the Maniapoto Rugby Union. The senior competition is at Pio Pio for the Boddy Shield and the junior at Mangapehi for the Forrestell Memorial Shield. The six teams which have so far entered for the senior tournament are: Pio Pio A and B, Waitete, United A and B, and Te Kuiti. In the junior tourney Pio Pio, Te Kuiti and Waitete have each entered one team and United has entered two. Entries do not close until this evening.

The following players will represent the Te Kuiti juniors at the seven-a-side tournament at Mangapehi on Saturday next:—McLeod, Hallett (2), Ferris, Waikai, Beattie, Jackson, Barton.

Players note that the train leaves for Mangapehi at 12.45.

The seven-a-side team for Saturday at Pio Pio will be chosen from the following:—McLeod, Barlow (2), Beeche, Evans, Peterson, Gibbs, Shaw, Scaraneke. Conveyance will leave Ritz at 1 p.m. sharp.
