WEDDING

MILLINGTON—GOULD. A very pretty wedding was salemnised at St. Albans Church, Pio Pio, on the evening of May 4th, when Marjorie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Gould, “Kerione,” Pio Pio, was married to Gilbert, son of Mr. and Mrs. 11. Millington, “Mahoe,” Bay of Islands. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. Dawson, and Mrs. Dinnison presided at the organ. The church was beautifully decorated in autumn colours by Mrs. L. Young, of Pio Pio. The bride, who entered the church on the arp of her father, was gowned in white panne velvet cut on classical lines with tight fitting sleeves and a cowl neck line, the skirt falling to a graceful train. Her beautiful veil lent by an old friend was caught at the back with a cluster of orange blossoms and she carried a trailing bouquet of white chrysanthemum. The chief bridesmaid was Jill, youngest sister of the bride, whose beautiful frock of daffodil panne velvet with touches of green, and bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums, made a pleasing contrast to the two little flower girls, Betty Ronaldson and Paddy Allison, who wore Elizabethan period frocks of green velvet. They carried posies of gold calendulas. All three wore flowers in their hair to match their frocks. Mr. John Robison (Whangarei) attended as best man. Mr. S. Ronaldson acted as usher.

The reception was held at “Kerione,” the home of the bride’s parents. The guests were received by Mrs. Gould wearing a floral crepe de chine frock and short fur coat and carried a bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums. Mrs. Millington, mother of the bridegroom, wore a wine coloured gown with bouquet to match. Mrs. Mulcock, Rotorua, sister of the groom, wore a frock of violet with coatee to match. Mrs. C. Webster, also sister of the groom, was in black and silver lame. Miss J. Gould, the bride’s sister, was in black panne velvet with silver lame. Miss Shirley Gould wore blue and white checked taffetta. Mrs. H. Gould, the bride’s aunt, wore a frock of black patterned crepe de chine. Mrs. H. Roberts, another aunt of the bridegroom, wore navy crepe de chine. The bride travelled in a nigger brown costume with hat to tone, and beautiful brown fur. Among- the guests were:—Mr. and Mrs. H.
