DEATH ON MARIPOSA

QUARANTINE INVESTIGATIONS. « STEWARD AND STEWARDESS. . (Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 10.15 a.m.) Sydney, this day. Two deaths among members of the crew of the Mariposa prior to reaching Sydney are engaging the attention of the quarantine authorities here. The victims were Carl Neutzel, a steward, and Mrs. G. Bell, stewardess. The former died after two days’ illness just before reaching Auckland, and the latter after thirty-six hours’ illness when nearing Sydney. Bloodpoisoning is suspected in Mrs. Bell’s case.
