PIO PIO CHURCH OF ENGLAND DANCE. (Own Correspondent.) A large crowd of happy patrons attended the Anglican dance at Pio Pio on February 19th. The ladies’ frocks were most graceful. Supper was the gift of the church members, to whom much credit was due. Miss Black, of Te Kuiti, received a prolonged encore for her step dance. Many visitors were present from Te Kuiti, Aria, Mairoa, and still more distant outposts of the parish. The Monte Carlo was won by Mr. Ray Beeche and Miss Jill Gould. Mr. George Box was M.C. Supper was served by Mesdames Jackson, V. R. Smith and Me Alley. The Rev. F. 0. Dawson was delighted with the response of so many happy people.
