GERMANY’S GOOD DEED
Germany has given back to Yugoslavia a great treasure. It is the book of laws prepared by the Serb Parliament at the command of Tsar Dunshan, and published -in 1349. The manuscript was a national trophy, as precious to patriots and historians of the Serb race as Magna Carta is to us. During the retreat of the Serbian Army in the Great War this famous manuscript fell into German hands, saved from a burning train.
