Sir Eric Geddes, presiding at the annual meeting of Imperial Airways, said the company had agreed with the Government on the principal features of a long-term, contract to replace existing agreements when they lapsed. The new flying boats for the Empire routes would provide sleeping accommodation, flying 24 hours and stopping only to refuel.
