FAREWELL PRESENTATION

TO MR. J. F. WALSH. On Tuesday evening the employees of Te Kuiti Lime Co., Ltd., met at the works to say farewell to Mr. J. F. Walsh* who has been works manager for the past 30 years and is now retiring to reside in Tauranga. On behalf of his fellow workers Mr. C. Hallett—the oldest employee —presented Mr. Walsh with an eiderdown quilt and a box of cigars, assuring him of the regard and esteem in which he was held by all, and wishing him long life and happiness in his retirement. A number of others spoke in the same strain. Mr. Walsh feelingly replied, complimenting the entire staff on their loyalty and efficiency, and saying how pleased he would be to see any of them if ever they visited Tauranga.
