An official confirmation is now given to the newspaper Algehad's statement that as a result of a conversation with the Premier and the Acting High Commissioner, Britain has given an undertaking that in. the event of war Britain will not infringe any Egyptian rights and will not take any special measures in Egypt without the Egyptian Government's agreement. An official message from Alexandria states that Britain has promised consultation with Egypt regarding any developments concerning her.
