FASHIONS.

STAR SPANGLED. Sequins are with us again—hats, blouses, jackets and even whole dresses of them. If you have any doubts as to their chic, here are some ideas to tell you how elegantly and effectively they can be worn. Wings over gleaming white shoulders is the inspiring effect so easilyachieved by a clever arrangement of two strips of sequins. The front is arranged in exactly the same way as the back. A narrow wire could be run through the edges, or you could use buckram to keep them in shape. Brilliant blue or black meeting pearl grey satin, crepe or velvet, would be a sensation in any ballroom. An old evening coat or a dinner frock could be turned into a dazzling affair by introducing full sleeves of scintillating sequins. Bring them into narrow bands to accentuate the slenderness of the hands and wrists. A lovely idea this, for giving your last year's evening frock a new interest in life.

A spider's web of sequins, more glistening than morning dewdrops, form an-enormous bib to wear on a long sleeved evening frock. A fine wire should be run through the edges of this to keep it in shape, and buckram would make the collar stand up. Then, use outsize buttons to hold the bib in place. Something really thrilling for some special, or more formal occasion.

Now made in sequins is the sobecoming "Marina PW Box" hat, complete with jaunty litUe feather and smart tie, to match. "VI hat could be more the thing to wear t* the cinema or cocktail party? And, if you can, wear long ear-rings of the popularly, rivived jet, to add the last touch of chic.
