PRICES FOR BUTTER
UP TO 95/- CWT.
BEST SINCE 1933.
New Zealand btuter is selling in London at 94s per cwt., with outside quotations at 955. The top price is Is better than any recorded since October, 1933. The market is firm. The Press Association message sent from London on Thursday states that butter is selling well. Danish is quoted at 108 s per cwt.; choicest salted New Zealand, 945; Australian, 935; unsalted New Zealand, 102 s to 104 s; Australian, 98. Cheese is firm. New Zealand, coloured, 475; white, 48s. A month ago the butter market was firm. Danish was quoted at 98s to 99s per cwt.; choicest salted, New Zealand, 89s to 90s; Australian, 86s to 87s; unsalted, New Zealand, 92s to 945; Australian, 87. Cheese was quiet. New Zealand, coloured, 44s to 44s 6d; white, 44s 6d to 455; Australian, coloured, 42s to 42s 6d; white, 42s 6d to 435. The butter market was firm a year ago. Danish was quoted at 104 s per cwt.; choicest salted, New Zealand, 82s; Australian, 775. The cheese market was steady. New Zealand, white, 49s 6d; coloured, 46s 6d.
