AN EMPHATIC DENIAL

TO NEWSPAPER STATEMENT. BY MANAGER OF N.Z. CO-OP. DAIRY COMPANY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Hamilton, this day. Interviewed to-day, Mr. C. J. Parlane, general manager of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Co., gave an emphatic denial to the statement appearing in this morning's New Zealand Herald to the effect that in February last he requested Mr. H. H. Corbin to accept nomination for the Rotorua seat in the interests of the Democrat Party. Mr. Parlane said that as Mr. Corbin was totally unknown to him he could regard the statement as a flight of imagination or the meanderings of the partisan political press. He added that neither himself personally or the company is taking any part in politics.
