The New Zealand Loan and Mercaantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report on their tri-weekly Morrinsville stock sale held on Friday as follows: Conditions generaly varied very little from the usual. There was a scarcity of good fat cattle with most again being medium class fats and stores. The demand was quite good and realisations accordingly were fully up to late levels. A number of dairy cows, mostly of which lacked quality, sold fairly readily. A few pigs and a number of fat ewes were also well sought after. We quote: Good quality fat cows £3 10s to £4 15s; medium quality fat cows £2 10s to £3 7s 6d; lighter do, £2 5s to £2 12s 6d; light, £1 14s to £2 2s 6d; stores £1 4s to £1 10s; good dairy cows close to profit £4 to £5; others £2 15s to £3 15s; good porkers £2 2s; pen of 80 fat ewes 18s lOd.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report on their Ngaruawahia stock sale held on Friday as follows': — The yarding of fat and store cows was a large one comprising principally the latter, and all met with a very good demand, rates being well maintained. Some yearling S.H. steers elicited keen competition, whilst the demand for a few medium yearling heifers and potter bulls was steady. Although there were approximately 150 head of dairy cows, no outstanding cows were entered, and in fact the proportion of good quality Jersey cows was very small. However, on the large number of second quality cows, especially for those well forward, met with a keen reception and very satisfactory prices were obtained, there being very few reservations. We quote: Medium fat cows £2 15s to £3 2s 6d; light killable cows £2 5s to £2 12s 6d; forward store cows £1 15s to £2 2s 6d; boners 18s to £1 10s; good quality yearling S.H. steers £2 Is; medium yearling heifers to £1 10s; potter bulls £3 3s; good quality Jersey cows close t .to profit £4 15s to £5 15s; medium quality Jersey cows £4 to £4 12s 6d; plain cows and heifers £3 5s to £4; backward and inferior cows up to £3.

FEILDING SALE.

Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report large entries in all sections at Friday's Feilding sale. The

demand in the store sheep section was of a keen nature, reliable ewes r.w. S.D. rams remained firm at recent rates, whereas ewe and wether hoggets still advanced in value, this being particularly noticeable for any lines of ewe hoggets submitted. Here we topped the market for a line of extra good ewe hoggets on account of Mr. J. Walker of Colyton, the price realised being 28s 9d. 2-tooth wethers also met a more buoyant market than has been the case over the past three or four weeks.

Fat Sheep: Values in this department showed very little variation over the past few weeks, fat ewes of choice quality still being slow of sale with very few wethers being penned. These were also difficult to quit at satisfactory prices to vendors. Cattle: A few pens of run cattle were submitted and for these the demand was sound, values showing no aletration on last week's rates. Fat cattle of all classes sold freely with a marked rise in values in comparison with last week.

Dairy cattle, both cows and heifers, unless close to profit and of good quality, were slow of sale. Boner cows of all grades sold at value above recent rates.

We quote:— Fat Sheep: Fat lambs 13s Id to 19s 3d; fat ewes 14s Id to 15s 4d; fat wethers 19s to 23s 7d.

Store Sheep: Wethers 18s Id to 20s 6d; ewes r.w. S.D., 14s 6d to 19s 9d; ewe hoggets 22s to 28s 7d; wether hoggets 14s 8d to 18s 4d. Fat Cattle: Fat P.A. heifers £5; fat P.A. cows £3 to £3 17s 6d; cows £2 10s to £4 12s 6d.

Store Cattle: Cows 24s 6d to £2; weaner Jersey heifers 12s 6d; yearling Jersey heifers 22s to 31s. Dairy Cattle: Springing heifers 31s 6d to £3 6s; springing cows £2 to £5.
