OVER-SUBSCRIBED
MORTGAGE CORPORATION SHARES. Applications for the issue of '500,000 shares of £1 each in the Mortgage Corporation of New Zealand closed on Friday. The . applications already in the possession of the Treasury show that the issue will be over-subscribed, but by how much will not be known until all _ those from centres outside Wellington have been received by the Department.
The share capital of the corporation is £1,000,000, of which the public was invited to subscribe half. The remainder is provided by the Government.
