A wide range of interesting events is artistically displayed in this week’s issue of . the “Sporting and Dramatic Review,” the reproductions being a feature of the illustrations in the popular magazine. The Takapuna Jockey Club’s meeting at Ellerslie is represented in a splendid series devoted to the principal events on the opening day. The Wellington Racing Club’s summer carnival is prominently placed in the photographic section, with snaps, of starts and finishes on the final day. The Dominion tennis championships in Auckland are .featured in an outstanding series of photographs of the competitors in action. Special interest will be taken in the fine group photograph of the wives and relatives of visiting bowlers to Auckland in connection with the Dominion tournament, while the concluding games at Carlton green makes another popular page. The centre double pages will have a leading appeal to women, as it contains photographs of Auckland brides. The coloured supplement this week is distinguished by the portrait of Lord Baden Powell, the chief scout, nowvisiting the Dominion.
