FATE OF MAORI BOY. TWO OTHERS RENDERED UNCONSCIOUS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Whakatane, this day. A Maori youth named Te Tawhia, aged 16, was killed by lightning and two others named Wiki Toko, aged 45, and Huru Teraka, aged 21, were rendered unconscious as the result of a sudden electrical storm at Tauwharemanuka, in the heart of the Urewera district, 46 miles from Whakatane, yesterday afternoon.. The party was haymaking and observed the storm approaching, being struck by lightning while making for the shelter of their whares. The police are investigating and aft inquest is to be held.
