THE STATE THEATRE
"SAY IT WITH FLOWERS." To-night will be Guest Night at the State Theatre when patrons will have a special treat in the story of London life, "Say It With Flowers." Kate, a flower seller in a London market, becomes ill and is advised to take a holiday in a warmer climate. Joe, her husband, decides to sell his donkey and approaches Bill, his old friend, the owner of the local fried fish shop. Bill, learning of his plight, rallies all the other stall holders and they decide to hold a concert for the benefit of the old couple. Old time stars, including Florrie Ford, Charlie Coborn and Marie Kendall, volunteer their services and their efforts are successful. This picture will be repeated tomorrow and a matinee will be held at 2 p.m. the same day.
THE EMPRESS.
Another attractive programme will be screened at the Empress on Friday and Saturday, with a matinee on Saturday afternoon. "Dangerously Yours" is a theme of love and laughter—the sprightly tale of a smooth, light-fingered gentleman who captures an enticing blonde sleuth . . . imprisons her on his cosy yacht for a cruise in dreamy, moon-kissed waters . . . and is captivated by his captive. The leads are by Warner Baxter, Miriam Jordan and Herbert Mundin.
