DRAMATIC CLUB

FIRST READING ON WEDNESDAY The first reading of the Te Kuiti Dramatic Club will be held in the Parish Hall on Wednesday next, the 11th instant, at 8 p.m., when Arnold Bennett’s “The Great Adventure” will be read by members. A strong cast has been chosen and members may anticipate an enjoyable evening with this delightful comedy. Intending members are specially invited to attend the opening reading. The Club wishes it to be known that membership is open to lovers of the drama, whether they intend to be active members or not. The annual subscription has been fixed at 2s 6d. The second reading will probably be held on Thursday, the 26th, when the Club will read “The Bishop’s Candlesticks,” a powerful one-act comedy by Norman McKinnel, and will also present A. A. Milne’s delightful comedy, “The Boy Comes Home.” The cast for these plays will be announced on Wednesday next.
