FEILDING SALE. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Feilding sale held last Thursday as under: — A medium entry of fat sheep of all classes came forward to meet just a fair sale, prices on all clsses showing a slight decline on last week’s rates, due no doubt to the fact that heavy drafts of lambs have gone away the last three weeks. Consequently graziers are endeavouring to clean out as many fat ewes as possible before the freezing prices come into operation. Store Sheep.—Just an average yarding came forward in this department, prices all round being well maintained with practically a total clearance.

Store Cattle.—The entry in this department was the smallest that has been submitted for several weeks, and for this reason it is difficult to give any sound idea of comparison in values.

Beef.—A fairly heavy yarding came forward, the quality on the whole not being of a very high standard. Consequently sales were hard to effect; nevertheless the bulk of the yarding was sold. Dairy Cows and Heifers.—Only a light yarding came forward with prices in this department showing a hardening tendency on last week’s values. Weaner Jersey heifers: A small entry of these came forward, the quality not being of a high standard. Consequently prices were inclined to drag, although in most cases vendors were meeting the market. Quotations: —
