AN APPRECIATION.
(To the Editor). Sir,—With a view to raising funds for the purchase of cricket and other recreation gear for the seventy odd me'n employed in the Rangitoto relief camp, a dance was held in the Parish Hall last evening. While the financial result was not all it might have been, the committee wishes to tender public thanks to the many kind friends in Te Kuiti who did their utmost to make the dance the success it deserved to be. To those ladies of the town who catered for and helped with the supper, the firms which helped with donations, and to O’Rourke Orchestra for the helpful way in which they supported the cause, the committee, on behalf of the boys in the camp for whose benefit the dance was held, tenders its grateful thanks. —I am, etc., H. BARRET, For the Men’s Committee.
