SLIPPED ON EMBANKMENT. BURIED IN LOOSE DEBRIS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Thames, this day. Mr. Athol John George Connolly, aged 26, a married man with two young children, was killed at the Kuranui Golden Hills, Limited’s lowgrade mining plant at nine o’clock this morning. Mr. Connolly was working 50 feet up the face of a cut above the hopper when he slipped and was carried down with the loose stone and almost covered. Life was extinct when he was released, his reck having been broken.
