In consequence of pro-Nazi demonstrations arising out of the establishment of police stations at every university to prevent political rioting, the universities of Vienna, Innsbruck and Graz have been closed indefinitely. The police used rubber truncheons to expel the students, some of whom retaliated with smoke bombs. Many arrests were made.
