ENGLISH "FASCISTS"
ATTACKED BY LABOURERS. SIR OSWALD MOSLEY IN LIMELIGHT. (Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 12.45 p.m.) London, October 16. Sir Oswald Mosley, England's "Musso-Hitler," marching at the head of four hundred Fascists, was attacked at Manchester by sixty labourers, who hurled stones, injuring three of the "Dictator's" bodyguard. The Fascists broke their ranks and charged their assailants until recalled by a bugle call. Sir Oswald Mosley proceeded to the King's Hall, where 25G0 Fascists brought by train and motor bus from all parts of England were stationed to overawe interrupters.
A band played Italian Fascist airs and the audience gave the Fascist salute as Sir Oswald Mosley entered, mounted the platform, and stood in the glare of a powerful spotlight. He declared: "The Reds frequently attacked our men with razors, bludgeons, and every form of despicable weapon imported from the ghettos of Europe."
