BROAD HINT FROM TILDEN. (Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 12.10 p.m.) Montreal, October 13. A broad hint that Jack Crawford will turn professional shortly was thrown out by Tilden here in a statement published by the Herald on Friday. “Crawford has not signed anything and has not assented,” Tilden announced, “but I understand he is considering favourably the idea, of turning his great talent to practical use.”
