DOUGLAS CREDIT

MR. PENNIKET'S TOUR. The lecturing tour of the district undertaken by Mr. Penniket, 3YLA., was brought to a close last Saturday. Beginning last Monday at Te Kuiti, Mr. Penniket during the week delivered addresses on the Douglas Credit proposals at Mairoa, Waitomo, Oparure, Rangitoto, Hangatiki, Mangapeehi, Pio Pio and Aria, and it is understood that he had a very good reception at all these places during his busy week, despite the inclement weather. At Oparure and Mangapeehi in particular there appeared to be very keen interest in the question o±" monetary reform.
