TWO INTERESTING GAMES.
Some good football should be seen at Rugby Park on Saturday next, when two Representative games are to be played. At 1.30 p.m. Maniapoto Junior Reps, play Taumarunui to defend the Boles Cup, and at 3 p.m. the Senior Rep. game is Maniapoto versus Tainui. The following will represent the Maniapoto Seniors in the game against Tainui: — Dowie; Armstrong, Roberts, Casey; Taitoko, Evans; D. Neal; Jeromson, Hurst, Miles; Anderson, Meredith; Gault, Boddy, Hare; emergencies: backs, J. Kite, Brainsby; forwards, Sharp, Harper (Pio Pio). The Maniapoto Juniors to play in defence of the Boles Cup will be as follows: — Johnson; Dean, Stringer, McNiel; Black, Elliott; Anderson; Verry, Mark, Morgan; Battley, Smythe; Davis, Olliver, Willison; emergencies: forwards, O’Malley, Kiernan; backs, Topp, Buckley. Any players unable to play must notifiy the secretary of the Union before Friday. Failure to do this will result in the player not being considered for future matches.
