A speaker at the conference of the South Island Dairy Association stated that, although he had been charged 2s 6d for his breakfast at a railway refreshment room, he had been refused cream,' and he had also been refused cream on his porridge at an hotel. Dairymen had been trying to create a greater demand for milk products, and they should give attention to such matters as this. They might seem to be trifles, but it was trifles that made up the consumption of the thousands of tons of produce that were marketed. People should also be persuaded to make junket and to use cream upon it. If this were done the consumption of dairy produce could be greatly increased.
