KOPAKI STOCK SALE.

Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having had an entry of 768 sheep and 219 head of cattle and a few pigs at the Kopaki sale on Monday. There was a good attendance of buyers and a total clearance at prices on a par with recent sales was effected. Prices were:— Sheep.—Four and 5-year ewes 6s 2d to 9s 4d; ewe lambs 9s sd; wether lambs 8s; fat lambs 10s; m.s. lambs (small) 5s 7d; store wethers lis 2d; 2-tooth ewes 10s 2d.

Cattle.—Medium fat steers £4 Is; 3-year steers £2 10s to £3 8s; 2-year steers to £2 10s; weaner P.A. steers £1 8s; fat cows and heifers £2 to £2 18s; store cows £1 16s; empty heifers to £1 10s; springing heifers to £3 10s; dairy cows £2 5s to £3; bulls to £2 ss.

FEILDING SALE

Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report as follows on the Feilding sale on Friday, 19th May: There was a full yarding of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle. Fat lambs were a shade easier, and fat ewes were decidedly back in price; store sheep, both lambs and breeding ewes were a good deal more difficult to sell and vendors met the market at lower rates.. Fat and store cattle met a very dragging sale and a considerable percentage of the yarding failed to reach vendors' reserves. We quote:—

Sheep.—Fat lambs, plain, 10s 6d to lis; fat lambs, good sorts, 12s 4d to 13s 4d; fat ewes 6s 7d to 8s; fat wethers 13s 6d;' fat 2-tooths 13s 7d; small lambs 3s; medium white face lambs 5s 9d; good white face lambs 7s 9d to 8s 6d; black face lambs 6s lid to 7s 8d; mixed age ewes r.w. S.D. rams 9s to 9s 4d.

Cattle.—Fat cows, Jersey sorts, 20s to 235; fat cows, Shorthorn, £2 13s; fat heifers £2 2s; vealers 20s; fat cow and vealer £2 Is; store cows 10s to 17s; heifers 275.
