CAMBRIDGE SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report on their tri-weekly Cambridge stock sale held on Tuesday as follows : Cattle.—The fat and store cow pens contained about the usual number of heads. No prime quality beef was yarded, but competition . was steady for that offered, and values quoted are fully on a par with recent rates. Stores and boners realised late quotations. Another full yarding- of dairy cows and heifers came before a large gathering of buyers. Bidding was particularly keen for good sorts of dairy cows close up, while a good sale was effected also for medium and poorer quality animals. Interest was not so keen for dairy heifers, but these changed hands. at values firm on late rates. Medium ox beef made £4 10s to £5 ss; medium fat cows £3 10s to £4 2s 6d; lighter do £2 15s to £3 10s; light do, £1 18s to £2 ss; killable £1 10s to £1 17s; stores 16s to £1 4s; boners up to 14s; best quality dairy cows close up, £8 10s to £lO 15s; medium sorts £6 5s to £8 ss; poorer do, £4 to £6; backward, up to £3 10s; good heifers £6 to £7; medium sorts £5 to £6; others made £3 15s to £4 10s.

, Sheep.—A small entry, sold at prices on a par with late rates. Fat lambs 8s 6d to 9s 6d; medium store lambs 5s to 6s.

Pigs.—Only a few pens of stoi-es and weaners came forward and a decided increase in values was principally due to this fact. Medium stores 15s to 18s; smaller do 12s to 14s; weaners 8s to 12s.

The advertised horses were in keen demand, making for daughts £23 to £29 10s; lighter geldings made £l4 10s.

HAMILTON STOCK SALE.

The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— At the weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday, 26th inst., we had an extra heavy yarding of fat and store sheep. Bidding on fat sheep was brisk throughout, and last week's advanced rates were fully maintained, and in some cases exceded, a good sale resulting throughout. The store entry comprised chiefly of breeding ewes and hoggets, for which late rates were fully maintained. Beef.—A full yarding of ox and a medium yarding of cow and heifer beef came forward. Prime ox and heifer beef maintained last week's values, while cow beef was slightly easier. Four extra prime bullocks on account of Mr. H. S. Hawkins sold from £7 19s to £8 ss, and were purchased by Mr. W. R. Shattock. Pigs: A small yarding of fat pigs met with good competition. A large yarding of stores came forward and prices for all classes were easier. Quotations: — Prime fat heavy wethers 14s lOd to 15s 4d; medium fat wethers 13s 6d to 14s Id; extra heavy fat hoggets to 15s Id; fat lambs 8s 6d to 10s; heavy fat ewes 9s 3d to 10s; medium 6s lid to 7s 9d; light 5s 6d to 5s lOd; empty store ewes £4 to £5; 2-tooth ewes in lamb lis 6d; vealers 345; prime heavy fat bullocks £8 Is to £8 ss; heavy fat bullocks £7 14s to £7 19s; light £5 lis to £5 17s; heavy fat heifers £4 15s to £5 2s; medium £3 16s to £4 4s; heavy fat cows £5 to £5 8s; light £2 5s to £3; choice yearling Jersey heifers to £3 Is; 2-year empty heifers 30s. Pigs: Light baconers 32s to 355; heavy porkers 29s to 325; medium 26s to 28s; light 22s to 255; large stores 19s to 22s 6d; stores 14s to 16s; slips 9s to 13s 6d; weaners 7s 6d to 10s; sows due to farrow 37s 6d to £2 15s; choppers 25s to 325.
