GISBORNE MEETING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Gisborne, this day. The Gisborne Racing Club's farewell meeting opened to-day in dull and showery weather. The attendance is moderate and the track heavy but drying off. Results: — PARK HURDLES. G—Million (9.0) 1 3—Kaiti (9.0) 2 l_Neil (10.8) 3 Also started: Manuiri, St. Ames, Athol Spear, Rongo. Won by four lengths, six lengths between second and third. Time 3.29 4-5. HACK FLAT HANDICAP. 7 Lady Vane (8.7) 1 3—Hawthorn (8.2) 2 6—Rasouli (8.4) 3 Scratched: Kahunoke. Won by one and three-quarter lengths, length be tween second and third. Time, lm 18 l-ss. FLYING HANDICAP. 4—Lordly Knight (8.10) 1 9—White Fang (8.9) 2 7—Moa Bird (8.5) 3 Scratched: Tai Ao, Manifesto, Sunny Song. Won by a quarter of a length, a length between second and third. Time, lm 17 4-ss. HACK AND HUNTERS' STEEPLES. 2— Simeon (10.9) 1 s—Cat-i-mes (9.0) 2 4—Haumariri (9.0) 3 Scratched: Luna Lux, Wharncliffe, Harrowgate. Won by half a length, 200 yards between second and third. Time, 6r.i 14 3-ss.
