Sir James Parr was the guest of the New South Wales branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association at an informal reception at Parliament House. The president of the Legislative Council, Mr. Peden, welcomed Sir James. The Government was represented by the Speaker, Mr. Levy, and Messrs. Ryan, Concannon and Bavin.
