THE BREED OF COW.
The question of the breed of cow is of importance in connection withher acre production, said Dr. Annett when speaking recently, because it is fairly generally admitted that one can carry more of the lighter breeds. Thus, at the Jealott's Hill Research Station in England in an experiment on a small holding on rotational grazing Ayrshires were deliberately chosen because it was considered they would not pug up the land to the same extent that one of the heavier breeds would.
