BIG SHEARING TALLIES

RECORD FOR DISTRICT. A shed record of 877 sheep were shorn by three men on December 12, at Te Matai Station, Aria, the property of Messrs. Chambers Bros. The individual tallies were:—K. Holloway 320, F. Pittams 295, A. Johnstone 262, making an average of 292 1-3 per man. The above figures were certified to by the manager of the Te Matai Station, Mr. A, G. Mowatt, and is considered to be a record for this district.
