USED STAMPS.

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—Will you kindly grant us space to thank those of your readers who responded to our invitation to collect and forward used stamps for the furtherance of our- work.

The gross proceeds from this source during the last financial year was £55 (a record) and our very warmest thanks are accorded to all who helped us to attain this result.

, We again launch an appeal for as many stamps as can be collected. Many millions are annually consigned to the waste paper basket! Will those who have opportunity conserve these, and forward to us to aid in the rescue and maintenance of neglected and destitute children? Large and small parcels will be gratefully acknowledged by—Yours, etc., THOS E. WHITTON, Secretary-Treasurer. Manurewa Children's Home, Auckland.
