CHINESE STUDENTS' RIOT

ATTACK ON FOREIGN MINISTER.

WANT WAR WITH JAPAN. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 9.40 a.m.) Shanghai, September 28.

An attack by Chinese students on Mr. Wang, Foreign Minister at Nanking, was a most serious affair.

Five thousand students specially journeyed to the capital to urge military resistance against Japan. They stormed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrecked the windows and furniture, and violently assaulted Mr. Wang who narrowly escaped being beaten to death. He escaped in a motor car amid a fusilade of sticks and stones.

The mob then paraded the Nanking streets shouting demands for a declaration of war against Japan and Mr. Wang's dismissal.
