NEW DEPARTMENT FORMED. ORGANISING RESOURCES. The co-operation of the Unemployment Board and the Native Affairs Department in looking after Maori interests has led to the creation of a department, with headquarters in Wellington. The officer to be placed in charge of this department is Major R. Dansey, who leaves to-day to take up his new duties. He will travel by way of the Urewera Country and Hawke's Bay in order to acquaint himself with conditions in that part of the Dominion.
