K.C. RUGBY UNION

MONTHLY COMMITTEE MEETING. The monthly meeting' of the King Country Rugby Union was held last Friday, when Mr. W. Copsey (president) presided. Messrs. E. Tapp (Maniapoto) and V. M. Sarah (secretary) were the only other members present, and Mr. G. Eassy acted as proxy for Otorohanga and Mr. L.-Mac-Kenzie acted as proxy for the treasurer. Carlson Cup. The Otorohanga Sub-Union forwarded a challenge to play the Ohura SubUnion’s representatives at an early date for the Carlson Cup. It was resolved that the secretary forward the challenge to the Ohura Sub-Union. Affiliation Fees. The members present expressed dissatisfaction at the small attendance at the meeting, and the secretary said he had not yet x-eceived the affiliation fees from the Ohura and Kawhia Sub-Unions. The secretai’y was instx-ucted to write and ask the Sub-Unions to forward balance sheets and fees as soon as possible. Boundaries. Mr. Eassy moved and Mr. Tapp seconded that the secretary write and ask the N.Z.R.U. to define the boundaries of the King Country football disti'ict at the north of Otorohanga. The motion was carried. Representative Matches. The chairman reported that the N.Z.R.U. had included a match between King Country and Waikato combined teams and the New South Wales team in the latter’s itinerary. The chairman also reported that a match had been fixed for September 3 between Waikato and King Country at Taumarunui. Mi\ Tapp moved and Mr. MacKenzie seconded that the Thames Valley Sub-Union be written to and asked to play a match with King Counti-y at Te Kuiti at an early date. The motion was carried. Seven-a-Side Tournament. Mr. Eassy moved and Mr. Tapp seconded that the arrangements for the seven-a-side tournament to be played on June 3 be left in the hands of Messrs. A. E. Rice, J. H. Lynskey and V. M. Sarah. The motion was carried.

Notice of Motion.

Mr. Eassy gave notice to move the following notice of motion at the next meeting:' “That half the expenses of delegates attending meetings be paid by the King Country Rugby Union.”
