PAGODA DAMAGED
PLACES OF WORSHIP DESTROYED.

The famous Shwedagon pagoda in Rangoon was badly damaged by fire which destroyed Tazaungs or miniature places of woi'ship which are beautifully carved and containing golden images studded with precious stones. The damage is estimated at £15,000.
