A very young wife tearfully applied for a separation order the other day, because hubby insisted on smoking his pipe “all over the house.” She admitted that she had no other fault to find with him. The Magistrate smiled, and said he was afraid he couldn’t grant an order merely because the lady objected to tobacco-smoke. “Go home and make it up,” he added, “some day you’ll be thankful your husband is a smoker. Believe me, tobacco makes for harmony in the home, sooner or later.” He was right. It does. But it should be pure. Somehow few of the imported brands are. They are often poisonous with nicotine. The world’s purest tobacco is the toasted New Zealand. Being toasted it‘s almost free from nicotine, and quite safe to smoke any time and aU the time. Very fragrant and delicious, too. There is no other tobacco at all like it. There are only four brands: Riverhead Gold, Cavendish, Navy Cut No. 3, and Cut Plug No. 10. Of course there are imitations! So beware! (176)
