EMPRESS THEATRE

DOUBLE BILL TO-NIGHT. There are two big features on the programme at the Empress to-night, Monday and Tuesday. The chief attraction is “Song of the Flame.” This sweeping, powerful drama of the Russian Revolution introduces Miss Claire, the heroine, as a sort of Revolutionary Joan of- Arc, stirring the peasants to revolt against the Czar. Her love story with the Polish prince who later becomes a refugee is a strong, simple and human one, full of touching incidents and appeal. The picture is filmed entirely in technicolour. The other attraction is “The Three Godfathers” from the novel by Peter B. Kyne. Both pictures are recommended by the censor more especially for adult audiences.
