GOLF NOTES
' TE KUITI CLUB. The following are the results of play in the first round of the club championship:— Seniors: Bathgate defeated Tate, 2 and 1; Harrison defeated Dinsdale, on the 19th hole; Saunders defeated Boyd, 5 and 3; Aitken v. Johnson, all square at 18th (unfinished). Juniors: Drake defeated Powdrill, 2 and 1; Dean defeated Stevens, 1 up; Hetet defeated Browne, 3 and 2; Hotu defeated Anderson, 4 and 2. Play tooli place in wet weather. In view of the K.C. championships to be played next Saturday at Taumarunui, there will be no draw for play on the Te Kuiti Club’s links. LADIES. The following team will .represent Te Kujti in the King Country championships to be held in Taumarunui on August, the 15th inst.: —Mrs. Kennedy, Miss Graham, Mrs. McLeod, Mrs. Tate, Mrs. Howarth, Mrs. Aitken. The winners in the one-club competition played last Saturday were Mrs. ITetet (senior) and Miss N. Jordan (C grade).
